Our Commitment
Northridge Canine is committed to providing a website and services that are accessible to the widest possible audience, regardless of technology or ability. We believe every dog owner — including individuals with disabilities — should be able to learn about and access our dog training programs in Tucson and the surrounding areas.
We are committed to providing an inclusive experience consistent with the intent of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), and we strive to align our website with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA, as a general standard of accessibility, to the extent reasonably practicable. This includes working to make our dog training information, educational resources, and scheduling process accessible to all visitors.
Measures We Take
To support accessibility, we work to:
- Use clear headings and a logical, consistent page structure
- Provide descriptive alternative text for meaningful images whenever appropriate
- Maintain sufficient color contrast between text and background
- Support keyboard navigation across site features
- Use descriptive, meaningful link and button text
- Design our site to be responsive across common devices and screen sizes
- Periodically review our website as part of routine maintenance and updates
We strive to support commonly used assistive technologies, including screen readers, keyboard-only navigation, and browser zoom functions, and we design our site to work with current versions of major browsers such as Chrome, Safari, Firefox, and Edge.
Ongoing Efforts and Known Limitations
Accessibility is an ongoing effort rather than a one-time project. While we work to meet recognized accessibility guidelines, some areas of our website — such as embedded third-party content (for example, maps, scheduling widgets, or social media feeds), older pages, or legacy content — may not yet fully meet every WCAG 2.1 AA success criterion. We are not able to guarantee that every page or feature of our website is fully accessible at all times, but we are committed to identifying and addressing barriers as we become aware of them.
Alternative Ways to Access Our Services
If any part of our website is difficult for you to use, you do not need to rely on the website alone. Our team is glad to help you directly by phone or through our contact form, and we can provide information about our programs, pricing, and scheduling in an alternative format or through a conversation instead.
We also welcome clients working with service or assistance dogs in connection with a disability, and we’re happy to discuss how we can accommodate individual needs during evaluations and training sessions — please just let us know in advance so we can prepare.
Feedback and Contact
We welcome feedback on the accessibility of our website. If you encounter a barrier, have difficulty accessing any content, or have suggestions for improvement, please let us know using the contact details below. We appreciate your feedback and use it to continually improve the accessibility of our website and services.
